    Hi Michel,

it is unlikely that the address is localhost, unless you install RapidMiner on the VM itself.

Can you check either the Cloudera Quickstart VM or the Cloudera Hadoop CDH 5.x guides athttps://docs.www.turtlecreekpls.com/radoop/installation/distribution-notes.htmldepending on your cluster type?

    Best,

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

I understand that the Master Adress is incorrect. How do I find the correct Master Adress?

    Hi Michel,

I recommend to use te "Import from Cluster Manager" option to create the connection. You can specify the Cloudera Manager URL and credentials and the connection will be created, you only need to specify a couple of settings.

May I ask if this is a quickstart VM or a larger cluster?

    Best,

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for your answer.

I'm working on an opportunity with a financial
services client. The customer is looking for help with sentiment analysis and data
source is Cloudera. The idea would be to propose using RapidMiner
RAdoop on top of the Hadoop cluster for the analysis.

My goal in this prospect is to implement a ML model in RM, but I have at least to show to the customer how to connect with Cloudera data.

I'm an Ambassador for RM, but my expertise is on Machine Learning and know very little about Hadoop.

Although I believe I can show how to work with RAdoop, I can't connect.

I also don't know how to specify the Cloudera Manager URL and credentials.

    Regards,

    Michel
