Save Advanced Charts configuration in the process

Suggestion to save the Advanced Charts configuration parameters in the process at hand.

To put it blunt: RapidMiner automates tasks by Machine Learning, but one has to define a RapidMiner report over and over again, every time a model is saved and loaded afterwards.

This feature request is nothing fancy like reusing Advanced Charts configurations in other processes.

Just save the Advanced Charts configuration parameters in the process, for every process "res" port that has been connected it's own Advanced Charts configuration.

Such feature can't be difficult to implement. It would save RapidMiner users a lot of time.

    Have you tried the reporting extension? It's a bit clunky to use but it does exactly what you're looking for.

    I'm hoping that RM completely updates their native charting in future releases. It's old and clunky.

    @sgenzerbut I don't think the reporting extension actually works with the advanced charts, just the basic ones?

    I agree with@Thomas_Ottthat the entire reporting extension needs an overhaul.

    @Telcontar120- it pretty much has the functionality of advanced charts but yes, rather clunky to use. A while back I built a whole bunch of automated reporting processes that I stiill use from time to time. Here's a monster I did a year ago. You'll need to look inside the subprocesses to see what I did.

    Wow, that's a beast of a process! Nicely done. :smileyhappy:

    我使用了报告扩展运营商相当a bit in the past as well---but I never got it to work with Advanced Charts, just Basic Charts. It could definitely be that it was my own limitation in understanding how it was supposed to work, but there is no example/tutorial process for it ,or even a detailed help description of how it should be configured either, so it's definitely not easy for your average user to figure out. Mostly everything I ever managed to do was by trial and error.

    yup same here. I know that folks are encouraged to use the Qlik and Tableau extensions, and of course Server's HighCharts capabilities. But I did like the reporting tools from this extension as well.

    My personal experience is using the tools where with the best output and with the purpose they are developed for. Basic charts I find essential for a first visual impression. High tech viz tools and dynamic viz tools as used in dashboards, I personally prefer the link with Tableau or Qlik. Only my individual view on this topic.

    Also Python has nice charts to offer as part of your process.

    我们也真的与报告工作extension, as it provides a comfortable way to have a large process with many intermediate results. Also sharing the outcome of your processes is quite easy by only setting the report directory to a public available webserver…

    But we also agree with@Thomas_Ottand@Telcontar120that an overhaul of the reporting extension is needed and would help so much!
